The district administration is assisting in the development of finger millet cultivation in Keonjhar district.

The climate of Keonjhar district is favorable for finger millet cultivation and requires less water and less labor for this cultivation. That is why the district administration raising awareness with the help of Odisha Millet Mission in various blocks of the district about the progress of finger millet cultivation. The government is providing the financial assistance of Rs. 5000 for the first year, Rs. 3000 for second year and 1500 for third year to the farmers.
