In a step toward strengthening sustainable livelihoods, Livelihood Alternatives, in collaboration with Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan – Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, conducted a hands-on training on mushroom value-added products.
The programme aimed to empower members of SHGs and FPOs with practical skills in preparing mushroom namkeen, pickle, papad, and other products creating alternative income opportunities.
The training was attended by 15 participants from Adimata LAFED FPCL, Sundargarh district, and SHG members from Shyam Sundar and Sri Krishna, Narsinghpur, Cuttack.
The session was anchored by Dr. Anshuman Khandual, Prof. Kartik Chandra Sahoo, and Dibyajyoti Swain, who guided participants through processing techniques, quality standards, and livelihood potential.
The initiative marks a meaningful step toward building community entrepreneurship through value addition and skill development.
