Shareholders of Farmer Producer Companies namely, Saruddhi FED Farmers Producer Company Limited and Adimata LA FED Farmer Producer Company Limited from Sundargarh Sadar and Tangarapally blocks of Sundargarh district participated in an interstate exposure visit to the #ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Farming System Research Centre for Hill and Plateau Region (FSR-CHPR), Plandu, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The exposure visit was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sundargarh, in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for FPOs, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).
During the visit, participants interacted with scientists and experts, gaining insights into sustainable agriculture practices, value chain development, farmer aggregation models, and effective FPO management. The exposure visit provided an important learning platform for experience sharing, peer learning, and strengthening institutional capacities, which is expected to contribute to improved farm productivity, income enhancement, and the overall growth of FPCs in Sundargarh district.
