fPO-sTART up INTEGRATION

On 9th September 2025, a delegation of 25 scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) representing 17 districts of Odisha, along with scientists from OUAT, Bhubaneswar, visited the organic farmland of Mr. Prashant Biswal, a progressive farmer from Satyabadi block, Puri district.

With the support of Livelihood Alternatives (LA) and PACE Foundation, and technical facilitation by Ambronics India – a start-up incubated at the IRMA–iSEED Foundation, Anand, Gujarat – Mr. Biswal has successfully adopted pot drip irrigation, alongside natural farming practices such as Ghana Jeevamrita and Bramhasta in paddy and vegetable cultivation.

Technology adoption has been a key focus of LA, and as part of a demonstration unit, a low-cost substitute for conventional drip irrigation developed and patented by Ambrionics has been installed in his field.

The visiting scientists highly appreciated these efforts, particularly the innovative and affordable pot drip irrigation system, recognizing its potential for water-efficient, climate-resilient, and farmer-friendly farming. They also expressed their commitment to promoting and scaling this technology across their respective regions, thereby strengthening sustainable agricultural practices in Odisha.
