When farmers grow together, communities become stronger.
Livelihood Alternatives organised the "FPO Business Growth & Opportunities" workshop in Bhubaneswar, bringing together about 50 representatives from partner FPOs across 10 districts and 25 blocks of Odisha. Everyone came with one shared goal: to build better futures for our farmers.
We were honoured by the presence of:
Mr. Sutu Ghosh, CEO, Indian Plant Feeds
Mr. Chakradhara Panda, State Consultant-cum-Project Coordinator, Seed System, ICRISAT
Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, Marketing Head, IPF
Shri Sambit Tripathy, CMD, Livelihood Alternatives
A milestone moment: We signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Plant Feeds (IPF) to strengthen the business ecosystem for FPOs and the farmers they serve.
What this means on the ground:
• Organic seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, affordable and on time
• A dealership-based model that opens new business opportunities for FPOs
• Greater economic sustainability for FPOs and their member farmers
Together, we will also promote natural farming, crop diversification, CSC-based government services, access to credit and financial inclusion, so that every FPO in Odisha becomes stronger, more sustainable and truly farmer-centric.
Because when a farmer thrives, a whole community thrives!
Thank you to our partners, guests and FPO leaders for making this day so meaningful. This is only the beginning!
