Livelihood Alternatives had organized an exposure visit for farmers to Delhi. This visit aimed to provide farmers with an opportunity to learn about the best practices in vegetable cultivation. The group comprised of 33 farmers.
The purpose of the visit was to expose the farmers to the best practices in vegetable cultivation. Delhi is a hub for vegetable cultivation, and the farmers were given the opportunity to see firsthand the latest farming techniques and technologies used in the industry. The farmers were also given a chance to interact with experts in the field and exchange ideas and experiences.
During their visit, the farmers were taken to ICAR (Indian Agriculture Research Institute)Â vegetable farms, where they were shown the latest technologies used in vegetable cultivation. The farmers also visited Mother Dairy, a leading dairy products company in India, as a part of the exposure visit. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the value addition process in dairy products and how it can increase the income of farmers. Then the contingent was taken to PARAS, a dairy processing company. The visit aimed to educate the farmers about value addition in dairy products and the latest techniques used in the dairy industry.
Overall, the exposure visit was an excellent opportunity for farmers to learn about the latest farming practices in vegetable cultivation. The farmers were able to observe and learn from the best practices implemented in Delhi, and they were given guidance on how to improve their own farming techniques.
