On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Livelihood Alternatives, in association with NAFED India organised a tree plantation drive at Bajpur block of Khordha district. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of FPCs from Delang, Kanas, and Tangi blocks, SHG groups and other residents of the locality. It was an effort at honouring nature and promote sustainable living. The initiative also contributes to the country’s nationwide campaign of “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam”. Fruit bearing trees and medicinal plant varieties were planted.
The state heads of NAFED Ms. Anindita Guha and of ICRISAT Sh. Aviraj Dutta graced the occasion and participated in the tree plantation activities.
